I felt burnt out and frustrated by where I was in my career when I found Lindsey’s leadership program. I’d “worked my way up” in the advertising industry the last 8 years and still found myself underpaid and overworked. I powered through every day with knots in my stomach and even got shingles from the stress (I was only 31). It felt like my body was turning against me, and I could no longer overpower it with “sheer will” as I had learned to do in my early adulthood.

That was when I decided to find new tools to guide me towards a healthier lifestyle and discovered Lindsey’s program. The self-worth and money mindset topics were what really transformed me. During the program I realized that I didn’t overwork myself because I loved what I was doing. I overworked to prove my worth to my employer, my clients, and most importantly, to myself.

After working through my limiting belief of not being enough throughout the program, I was able to focus on my money mindset. I had a goal to make 6 figures by age 35, and I was barely making half that. I consistently delivered above-average results at work but couldn’t break the cycle of being paid an average salary.

The transformation I experienced from addressing my money mindset was incredible, and almost unbelievable to me as I write this! Breaking through my self-worth barriers gave me the confidence to raise my standards for myself. I must have shifted my energy because just two weeks later I got a 10% raise at work without asking for it.

Although I was thankful for the raise, I now knew I was worthy of more than a 10% raise to compensate for my contributions. So, I began a job search after completing Lindsey’s program and found a new role. One month later I went from a manager role to a director-level role and my salary increased 57%! Two months later, I got to put my self-love tools to work and renegotiated my salary. As a result, I hit my 6-figure salary goal 3 years early.

While the salary is extremely nice to have, the feeling of being fairly compensated and respected is worth even more to me. After taking the steps I identified in Lindsey’s program I felt proud of myself and gained authentic confidence.

This has also helped me lead my team through promotions of their own, as well as be an advocate of work life balance and having healthy boundaries around work. I’ve evolved to be people-focused rather than just results-focused, which has significantly improved my leadership style.

Before the program I dedicated a small amount of time to building relationships with my team, but I learned that the relationship I have with my team and colleagues is directly related to the results we achieve together. Learning how to lead with empathy – and acknowledging that we’re all humans before we’re employees – helped me and my team produce more and be happier. Implementing this approach allowed me to inspire the best from those around me at work!

However, work is still challenging and not always in the “fun” way. I use the Layers to Leadership skills from the program to handle tough personalities, personnel issues and messy situations at work that WOULD lead to stress quickly if I didn’t have healthy coping mechanisms in place. It’s taken practice, but issues that used to seem unsolvable or impossible now seem small and manageable. I’ve gained confidence in trusting myself as I navigate these types of situations, rather than second guessing what I do every step of the way. It feels like freedom!

Lindsey’s program gave me the tools, support and roadmap to the life I have now. I can’t imagine what my life would look like if I hadn’t signed up!

I absolutely loved it, it had everything my mind, body, and soul needed, it showed me how the smallest of things could bring about massive changes in my day-to-day life. Loved working through the worksheets. I used to think self-care doesn't serve others, but through this course, I understood how my energy and practices affect not just me but also the people around me, how my words affect others, how my body reacts to situations, how I was depleting my cup, how I could align to my core values and how I could change my perception.
